The IgAN Atlas

We have established a multidisciplinary research group including scientists, clinicians, bioinformaticians and systems biologists to leverage omics data generated from kidney, blood, urine and peripheral blood cells to better understand the pathogenesis of IgAN and identify novel biomarkers and drug targets. We are an open collaborative and are open to collaborations with academic and industry colleagues.

Welcome to the International IgA Nephropathy Network

We are a group of scientists and clinicians working to better understand how and why IgA nephropathy develops and how we can use new insights into the disease to design better treatments and improve the care we give to children and adults living with IgA nephropathy. Our primary focus is to increase global awareness of IgA nephropathy and undertake collaborative research projects to answer the key unanswered questions in this important disease. Please take your time to browse the website and find out more about the exciting research we are doing, how this is directly improving patient care and what is happening in IgA nephropathy in your country.

Poster for next symposium in Tokyo

Symposium in Tokyo in 2023

The 17th International Symposium on IgA Nephropathy in Tokyo was a resounding success. We had three days of outstanding state of the art lectures on all aspects of IgAN from bench to bedside and it was great to see young investigators present their research work. The Symposium started with a patient panel with patients from Argentina, Japan, Spain, USA and the UK all giving their perspectives on living with IgAN and telling us what their priorities are for the future in terms of areas to research. We must thank Professor Yusuke Suzuki and his team for putting on such a great symposium. In 2025 we will be in Prague and we look forward to seeing you there.

A Global IgA Nephropathy Research Network

Take a look at our interactive map of research sites that are actively involved in clinical and laboratory studies in IgA nephropathy and/or have contributed important patient data and/or kidney biopsy slides to the research work of the International IgA Nephropathy Network over the past 10 years. Please let us know if you are involved in IgA nephropathy research and your site is not listed. We are always looking to expand our research network.
